The Franklin Center provides a variety of opportunities for citizens to help in the community. Call us at (724) 378-7422 for a list of current opportunities. Volunteers have assisted the Franklin Center in many capacities.

Opportunities

  • Serve on the Franklin Center's Board of Directors
  • The Franklin Center has 10-18 board members who meet formally once a month. The individuals on the board possess a variety of skills and experiences that make up a diverse representation of people. All are dedicated to improving conditions in Aliquippa and the surrounding area. Call our main office for current opportunities.
  • Student Program Participation
  • The Franklin Center offers a wide variety of programs for children of all ages. We are always looking for assistants, chaperones, speakers, helpers, and mentors.
  • Deliver fliers and newsletters
  • The Franklin Center often has fliers and newsletters that must be delivered around town. This is a job that can be done in an hour or two periodically.
  • Serve with the Retired Senior and Volunteer Program
  • The RSVP recruits hundreds of volunteers who give their time providing a wide variety of activities to human service agencies throughout Beaver County. Minimum time commitment is usually four hours per week.
  • Building repair and maintenance
  • The Franklin Center's buildings are always in need of minor repair, painting, floor polishing, window washing, small plumbing projects, carpentry, etc. If you have the talent, we have the project.
