The Franklin Center formerly the Aliquippa Alliance for Unity & Development, Inc. (AAUD), an organization formed to response to the local impact of the domestic steel industry. The Franklin Center is charged with ensuring the delivery of human services to low income and unemployed residents of Beaver County. The center, located on Franklin Avenue, assists approximately 5,000 clients annually through various programs housed at the center. Services provided at the Center include utility assistance, health awareness programs, medical care, mental health counseling, and literacy. Franklin Center of Beaver County administers many programs and provides outreach, referral and coordination of many others.
